2) Gullak (Season1): Small Town Charm with Big Laughs
Gullak takes you on a heartwarming journey with our Mishra family. Based in a vintage Indian town, the storyline of the show narrates the life of Annu and Aman, two siblings and their bond and equation with their parents. Their everyday life filled with love, humor and touch of that small town quirkiness will bring a smile on your face, their experience, challenges and simple joys of growing up in a close knit family is something that we all can feel and connect. This is the only series by TVF with four seasons and all the seasons are worth watching.
3) Panchayat: A Fish out of Water Comedy with Rural Delights
Have you ever thought about what happens when a city slicker gets stuck in a remote village? Panchayat tells the hilarious yet moving story of Abhishek Aka Sachiv ji, a young engineering graduate who, in desperate need of a job , takes on the role of Secretary in a remote village Phulera. His journey from being annoyed by the village and villagers to becoming part of their family and their ups and downs is a beautiful story of human emotions and power of love and connections. This show has its two mind-blowing successful seasons and the most awaited third season is going to stream on Amazon Prime Video from 28th May onwards, so Season 3 “Dekh Rahe Ho Na Binod?”
4) Tripling: Sibling Shenanigans and Family Secrets
Get ready for the laughter dose and a touch of drama with “Tripling”. Following the lives of three very interesting and crazy siblings- Chandan, Chanchanl and Chitwan, this show is a treat for everyone especially siblings. Kota Factory takes a more serious look at the competitive world of Indian education. The show shows Vaibhav, a teenager who moves to Kota, the cursed pilgrimage of competitive exams preparations. A boy who left his home for the very first time struggles with the pressure of living in a new atmosphere, competition pressure with fellow classmates and the expectation pressure from his own father. But with passing time he made some unbreakable bonds and with support of his friends and his teacher “Jitu Bhaiya, he learned valuable lessons about self belief and perseverance. The season starts with black and white background which emphasizes on the life and hardships of every teenager in his early days of kota, but when in the final scene of last episode of Season1 flashed a colored screen, it actually shows the life cycle of a teenager in Kota. The series has 2 seasons but season 1 is memorable and unbeatable in so many ways.
6) Very Parivarik: When World Collide (But Still Get Along)
Love indeed knows no bounds, but sometimes families need a little adjustment! TVF’s recently weekly show “Very Parivarik ” explores the challenges faced by a modern day couple with different religious and social backgrounds, Anish and Shelly invites Anish’s parents to live with them on Shelly’s idea. The parent’s visit from the village turns into a humorous clash between the rural and urban lifestyle, from Anish’s father looking for Verandah and terrace in a Mumbai flat to Shelly trying to follow their rituals and customs, everything is relatable . But through it all, the show celebrates the power of family and the importance of finding humor in everyday life.
