2. Bandish Bandits Season 2:

3. Despatch:
Manoj Bajpayee, the critically acclaimed OTT icon and globally renowned Bollywood star, is back to digital screens with Despatch. A Hindi action-crime-drama thriller film, Despatch is helmed by filmmaker Kanu Behl. The film’s storyline revolves around the dangerous realm of investigative journalism, following skilled, adept, and seasoned crime journalist Joy (Manoj Bajpayee). Portrayed by nuanced Bollywood performer and actor Manoj Bajpayee, Joy’s calm life turns upside down when he firmly decides and goes deeper into a high-stakes story. As Joy goes through the alarming nook and cranny of the greed for media power versus journalistic ethics blended with his tough personal struggles, his multilayered and intriguing journey discloses the painful and devastating price of exposing the truth within a darkly twisted world overpowered by corruption.
4. Thangalaan:
Vikram-starrer Tamil action-adventure drama film Thangalaan got decent reviews from audiences and fans. This film finally premiered on Netflix on Tuesday, December 10. The plot focuses on a village tribal chief Thangalaan and his wife Jangamma, who lead their village amid unjust and cruel circumstances. But, a string of unpleasant circumstances causes Thangalaan and villagers to become bonded laborers. British officer Lord Clement vows to unveil the hidden gold mines in the region of Kolar Gold Mines in Karnataka with the veiled intention of stealing all the gold from India. However, he realizes that it won’t be possible alone. So, for this, Clement tricks Thangalaan into helping him by misleading him with a promise of giving him a share of gold. Will Thangalaan help the British officer Lord Clement to uncover the gold from the mines, or will he realize the trap before it is too late? Thangalaan began streaming on Netflix on December 10 in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu, but the Hindi-language version is unavailable.
5. Bougainvillea:
Malayalam psychological thriller-horror-drama film Bougainvillea, starring Fahadh Faasil, Jyothirmayi, and Kunchacko Boban, is streaming on Sony LIV this Friday, December 13, 2024. The film’s gripping storyline follows the loving family of Royce and Reethu. Royce and Reethu’s calm lives are upended into chaos when they both are accidentally involved in a challenging police investigation related to a case of travelers who are mysteriously vanishing from Kerala.
6. 1992 Season 1 (Netflix):
1992 is an acclaimed Spanish-language serial-killer-action-drama series. Directed by maverick director Álex de la Iglesia with a compelling screenplay written by screenwriter Jorge Guerricaechevarría, the plot focuses on a barbaric and cruel murderer psychopath who uses a flamethrower to kill his victims. However, when an office explosion resulted in the death of a CEO and a hardworking employee, all hell broke loose. Is it a natural incident, or is there a cruel and sinister conspiracy of a mastermind behind the unending long series of deaths in the same manner? The series blends action, murder, murder mystery elements, emotional undertones of characters, and edge-of-the-seat gritty narrative with a pulpy drama and stellar performances in the mini-series that will invoke goosebumps throughout the entire series. The series stars Fernando Valdivielso as Richi and Marian Álvarez as Amparo, with Paz Vega and Carlos Santos, among others. The series is now streaming on Netflix.
7. Singham Again:
Starring an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and others in intriguing and pivotal roles, Singham Again is a Hindi-language action-cop-thriller-drama film. The film’s storyline revolves around ACP Singham’s wife Avni who gets kidnapped by Danger Lanka. A chain of unfortunate events culminates in Avni getting kidnapped by Danger Lanka from Rameshwaram and being taken to Srilanka. Based on the Ramayana, ACP Singham takes the help of all his closest cop friends and forms a solid team that starts fighting tooth and nail against Danger Lanka and his men to rescue Avni and stop the inevitable from happening. A mix of thrill, action, drama, emotions, blood, and gore, with a nail-biting fight between Singham and Danger Lanka and a gritty plot, makes this film a must-watch.
Singham Again was a moderate hit in theatres and will be available for streaming on Prime Video India on Friday (December 13). Netizens and fans can only rent it legally from the streaming platform for Rs 499.
8. Carry-On:
Carry-On is a 2024 American action thriller film which is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and written by T.J. Fixman. The captivating plot revolves around a mysterious man traveling on a flight. Once inside the flight, he compels and forces a young TSA officer named Ethan to allow a dangerous package to slip through onboard a moving flight on Christmas Eve. Will this flight be a peaceful experience, or will this package endanger the safety of the passengers onboard? Carry-On the film is now streaming on Netflix. (December 13)
9. Bookie Season 2:
Bookie is an American comedy television series created by Chuck Lorre and Nick Bakay starring Sebastian Maniscalco, Omar Dorsey, Andrea Anders, Vanessa Ferlito, Jorge Garcia, and Maxim Swinton. Bookie Season 2 will focus more on Danny and Ray’s increasing difficulties as they struggle to function in their illegal gambling firm in the face of America’s growing legalization. Meanwhile, things aren’t all good and easier for Danny and Ray in their personal lives either, as the duo are trying to make their complex relationships work smoothly. Danny attempts hard to win back the love of Sandra at any cost by moving away from Los Angeles to Modesto where Sandra resides but fails to change his ways. Bookie Season 2 is streaming now on Max (December 12).

This highly anticipated addition to this week’s OTT lineup is a must-watch for music lovers. The heartfelt documentary offers deeper insight and a look at the legendary and iconic musician visionary Elton John’s fascinating life, with never-seen-before BTS concert footage, his personally handwritten journals, and some rare videos of the musician and his family.
