Here are the top 10 Indian movies on the streaming platform that can be watched during this month.

Kooki

Releasing on Sept 6, this Hindi drama follows the harrowing journey of 16 year old Kooki, whose life and dreams are shattered when she becomes a  victim of a brutal gang rape. The court’s verdict leaves her feeling betrayed, as justice seems far from resolved. The movie is directed by Pranab J Deka and written by Junmoni Devi Khaund, Pranab J Deka and Mrigendra Narayan Konar. The film stars Ritisha Khaund, Rajesh Tailang, and Dipannita Sharma.

Double iSmart

A notorious criminal known as the Big Bull learns about  having a terminal  brain tumour. Desperate to save his life, he hires a scientist to transfer his mind to another body. The only viable candidate is Ram Pothineni by the character name of Ustaad ISmart Shankar, a street smart with a  unique memory transfer port in his brain. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh, it has Sanjay Dutt and Ram Pothineni in lead roles.

Simbaa

In this Telugu mystery film, an environmental activist Puroshattam Reddy fights against industrial pollution. Reddy is popularly known as Simba. After saving three lives, their collective journey of gratitude transforms into a determined quest for justice against those who harms nature. The film is directed by Murali Manohar Reddy, written by Sampath Nandi and the film stars Rajiv Kumar Aneja, Jagapathi Babu, Anasuwa Bharadwaj and releases today.

Vasco Da Gama

Written and directed by RG Krishnan, the Tamil Comedy was released today, Sept 6. Set in a world driven by greed, and materialism, and inhabited by only two bad souls, the film has a stellar cast featuring Nakkul, KS Ravikumar, and Arthana Binu.

Peka Medalu

A young married couple grapples with an ideological divide. While Varalaxmi, is a grounded homemaker, who values steady income, her jobless husband Laxman tries to chase risky shortcuts to achieve his dream of establishing a business empire. Directed by Neelagiri Mamilla and written by Hamza Ali, Srinivas Ittam and Bhargava Kartick, the telugu film will release on Sept 13, 2024 in Amazon Prime Video.

Alanaati Ramachandrudu

This is also a Telugu film depicting the story of Siddhu, an ambivert who loves Dharani, an extrovert. However, hesitant to express her love for her, he lies and gets caught in the web. The film explores whether he manages to succeed in his quest for love. The film is directed and written by Chilukuri Akash Reddy and it will be available from Sept 20.

Boat

Set in pre-independence India, the social satire tells the story of 10 people, who escape bombing on a small boat. They face difficulties when the boat stops and starts sinking. As the people struggle, the film shows a sharp commentary on societal issues and human nature. The film is directed by Chimbudevan and stars Jesse Fox Allen, Yogi Babu, and MS Bhaskar in main roles and is available in Tamil language. The movie is set to release on Sept 13.

Bheema

Bheema is an action film telling the story of mysterious incidents at a historic temple. Things take a turn when a detective arrives in the small town to investigate the incidents. The film is directed by Harsha the telugu language film released on Amazon Prime Video on Sept 6.

Vishesham

The malayalam comedy drama is about the ups and downs in the life of a middle aged couple who remarry. Their subsequent life together and slew of nosy questions they battle as newly weds forms the theme of the film. The film is set in Cochin, the film shows the city filled with advertisements of fertility clinics and shows fertility treatments humorously. Its released on Sept 6. 

Family Drama

Written and directed by Akarsh, the Kannada film is about a dysfunctional family separated by selfishness. Each  member goes by their own whim never listening to each other’s opinions  facing disastrous consequences. It is to hit the screen on Sept 9.
