Relationships That Controversies Bring into the Limelight
Armaan Malik’s home life was an issue of concern as soon as he set foot on the show. His marriage to Payal in 2011 made them parents to their first born child, Chirayu Malik. Nevertheless, in 2018, Armaan tied the knot with Kritika Malik who was Payal’s best friend at that time. This decision caused a strain in the family temporarily and Payal’s relatives kept Armaan away from her for about one and a half years.
After some time Payal again started living with Armaan and Kritika became a part of their family. The three now live together as a family and have children making it a family of four children. This kind of arrangement has led to controversies regarding the concept of relationships and family in the contemporary world.
Media Accusations and Contestant Responses
The journalists at the press conference confronted Armaan and Kritika for being polygamists and encouraging polygamy through their actions. Another reporter took it to the extreme and stated, “Even the worst person doesn’t see their close ones’ happiness,” meaning their relationship was unethical.
In response to the questions about the nature of relationships, Armaan tried to offer his side of the story. He said that if it was as simple as that he would have left either Payal or Kritika. Armaan also received backlash for objectifying women, to which he said that some relationships are not black and white.
