The August 18 episode of Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 14 was an emotional fare as Aditi Sharma was eliminated from the adventure stunt-based reality show. The live episode saw Aditi losing a challenging task to fellow contestant Shalin Bhanot.
When host Rohit Shetty asked whom she wished to replace in favor of the two wrestlers in the elimination stunt of the day, team captain Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia declared that she had selected Gashmeer Mahajani’s teammates Aditi Sharma and Shalin Bhanot to step in.
Nimrit also maintained that she didn’t select Gashmeer Mahajani and Niyati Fatnani because these two contestants had already contributed to the maximum of their resources during the earlier stunts. She also added that if she had to choose between Shilpa Shinde and Nimrit Kaur, she would save herself as she had a really tough week.
Aditi’s Reaction
Aditi looked visibly upset with the nomination, feeling betrayed. She said, “I will never throw my friend under the bus. It is her choice; will do whatever best.” Despite her emotional state, Aditi agreed to the elimination stunt.
The Scorpion Stunt
Rohit Shetty described the elimination task: Shalin and Aditi would put their heads inside rotating box-like coffins. There would be another box containing cockroaches and scorpions. They had to collect as many insects as possible within 5 minutes. The interesting twist in the tale was that when one of them could see, the other couldn’t.
Shalin’s Victory and Aditi’s Departure
In the close competition, Aditi could manage 151 scorpions, while Shalin scored 168—17 more than Aditi which ended up leaving Aditi out of the show.
Emotional Goodbye
Aditi went out of the show on an emotional note and said that she had given her best effort. Though she was cheated in the beginning, things between Nimrit and Aditi were sorted out before Aditi could go. Nimrit asks Aditi not to take any grudges against her for nomination as she had no other choice in this situation.
