Things cannot be more interesting this February 2025. Makers of one of the most prominent teen dramas on Netflix have dropped a huge announcement. XO Kitty Season 3 is confirmed and fans can expect the next episodes soon on the platform.
Netflix has some strong game going, isn’t it? The streaming giant has been releasing back-to-back hit releases this year, such as Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 3, The Trauma Code; Heroes On Call, and of course, Squid Game Season 2.
XO Kitty Season 3 CONFIRMED!
That’s right. There is an XO Kitty Season 3 in store for all of us. The chaotic yet adorable class, featuring Anna Cathcart as Kitty, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Minyeong Choi as Dae and Gia Kim as Yuri, shall be back at KISS soon.
Remember, the Korean Independent School of Seoul in South Korea is not an ordinary institution and our protagonist Kitty is not an ordinary matchmaker. She is famous at the school for turning many single souls into love birds.
“I can promise Season 3 will be worth the wait, including our first summer episode – not to mention plenty of romance, friendship, adventure … and kissing,” Executive Producer Jessica O’Toole told Tudum. “Lots of kissing.”
XO Kitty Season 2 ruled Netflix for a long time
XO Kitty Season 2 premiered on Netflix on January 16 at No. 2 on the English TV List. This young adult comedy appeared in the Top 10 in 89 countries in its first 7 days. The release also inspired fans to revisit XO Kitty Season 1.
By the end of Season 1, all of us definitely had four questions to address:
1. Is Kitty coming back to the Korean Independent School of Seoul?
2. Is Kitty going to embrace her ‘unprecedented’ feelings for Yuri?
3. Is Kitty going to find out more about her mother?
4. Is Kitty going to accept Min Ho’s feelings for her?
XO Kitty Season 2: Let’s go back to the scene one more time
During the grand finale of XO Kitty Season 1, Min Ho (the one flaunting his British accent) expressed his feelings for Kitty. The duo had been going back to the US and Min Ho chose the ‘perfect’ setting to speak his mind.
Many of us smiled through this scene – and so did Kitty! In the second season, things turned delicate, uncomfortable and tricky for many of the characters, including Kitty, the matchmaker. But they are friends at the end of the day.
They stood by each other’s side as things became tough, lending a helping hand. Min Ho plays a big role in helping Kitty reunite her family. One of her sisters flies into South Korea, featuring in a beautiful cameo.
On Min Ho’s side, a tough crisis engulfed his father and their family business. Kitty plays a significant part in helping Min Ho turn things around for good. By the end of the last episode, he is accompanying his father and elder brother on a grand trip.
Then, do Kitty and Min Ho don’t become the endgame? Don’t lose your calm. Kitty is a matchmaker and I like to emphasise this on multiple occasions. She is possibly joining Min Ho on his trip. But they have not shared a kiss (yet).
