Max’s ‘The White Lotus 3’ trailer drops some severe vacation fantasies along with the whodunnit style mystery branded all over it. With several interesting characters and actors involved in the third season, the fans are transcended to Thailand in search of spiritual and mental wellness. Here’s everything you might have noticed or not in the trailer from an awkward family trip to a mysterious gun.
Unexpected and surprising Casts of The White Lotus 3
Blackpink’s Lisa surprised the fans of the series with her role that was revealed in the trailer itself. The pop singer Lalisa Manobal plays the character of the resort’s health mentor named Mook. Lisa throws the opening welcome line to the guests saying, “Welcome to The White Lotus in Thailand’.
Belinda from The White Lotus from Hawaii is returning. The OG spa manager whose impeccable chemistry and rapport with fan favourite Tanya McQuaid played by Jennifer Coolidge is still etched fresh in our minds. Apparently Belinda, played by the talented Natasha Rothwell is seen in The White Lotus 3 trailer, apparently as an exchange student also having a romantic interest from the spa.
Aimee Lou Wood from Sex Education plays Chelsea, a young, free spirited partner of a wealthy, high strung Rick Hatchett, played by Walton Goggins. The duo is seen having dinner together in the trailer with Chelsea mentioning a near death experience, hopefully the beginning of the mystery while Rick is seen despising the food’s dietary value. The duo is surely one to crack the comedy for the season.
Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan are grouped to reignite the girls trip plan again as the trio is certainly having fun in Thailand, especially Jaclyn (Monaghan’s character) who is seen to be exploring her love life while living ‘off male attention’ as mentioned by Laure (Coon). There is a visible tension inside the girls gang as the idea of vacation varies vividly between the friends.
That one off point, awkward and lovable family for the third season – ‘The Ratliffs’ has arrived played by Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sam Nivola, and Sarah Catherine Hook. The wealthy family arrives on Thailand for vacation only for Victoria’s (Parker Posey) Lorazepam to be stolen (suspicious) and Lochlan, their youngest son dropping high end high school wisdom by saying, “If everybody gives in to their base instincts, it’d be total depravity. Like a race to the bottom”.
Apart from these spectacularly disjoined and extreme characters, there is also certain elements of mystery that spice up the season like the mysterious hand holding a gun, a quick cut of a bank robbery by a masked person, a police guard involved in a direct shootout and finally a covered body bag are teasing and intriguing the fans. There is also a crucial dialogue that might wrap the season’s premise when the old monk said “Everyone runs from pain towards pleasure,” they say. “But they get there only to find more pain.” All the mist will disappear on February 16, 2025 when ‘The White Lotus 3’ premieres.
