Ron Ely, who is remembered as a tall, bulky man who played the role of ‘Tarzan’ in the 60s is Reportedly dead at the age of 86. The famous star died on September 29 while the news was announced by his daughter Kristen Ely on October 23.
Ron was especially known for doing his own stunts on set for Tarzan and had gone through several injuries, even from the lion from shooting the NBC TV series.
Kristen Ely shared a heartfelt emotional post describing her father as ‘Heaven sent’ among a long appreciation about the actor. In her post Kristen shared, “The world has lost one of the greatest men it has ever known – and I have lost my Dad”.
“My father was someone that people called a hero. He was an actor, writer, coach, mentor, family man and leader. He created a powerful wave of positive influence wherever he went. The impact he had on others is something that I have never witnessed in any other person – there was something truly magical about him. This is how the world knew him” said the heartbroken daughter of the star.
The emotional goodbye was tear jerking for the fans as the actor’s demise was out of the blue and no reason was specified. It is said that Ron Ely was struggling with health issues due to his age and from the tragic murder of his late wife, Valerie Lundeen.

Kristen Ely also shared that “My greatest comfort is knowing that my dad is with my momma and my brother” and added that she misses them all so much.
In 2019, Ron Ely’s wife Valerie Lundeen was tragically killed by their own son at one of their residences. The son Cameron Ely was in turn killed by the Police at the time of the reported incident. This unfortunate event contributed to his health issue, toiling him mentally and physically.
