Early Days
Tony was born in Washington D.C. on December 4,1954. He was the alma mater of Hartford Public High School, University of Connecticut. His passion for art and acting pushed him to pursue his career commencing from the Eugene O’Neill National Actors Theatre Institute.
On-screen career of Tony Todd
Critically acclaimed war film “Platoon” which was skillfully written and directed by Oliver Stone in 1986 was the debut movie of Tony Todd as an actor. He appeared as one of the leading characters as Warren in “Platoon”. He consistently worked harder to become skilled in his acting. His fame went sky-high and grabbed the attention of the fans through the horror films including “Night of the Living Dead” and another blockbuster supernatural horror franchise in Hollywood “Candyman”. He played the cold-blooded hook-handed killer role when someone repeats his name five times before the mirror. He appeared in the 1992 to 2021 franchise movies of Candyman.
