Renowned Anglo-Irish band The Pogues is known for songs like The Irish Rover, A Pair of Brown Eyes, A Rainy Night In Soho, and many more. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of their second album titled Rum Sodomy & The Lash, the band who last went on tour back in 2014 after Shane MacGowan’s demise had split up after that. Later on, the former band went on a sabbatical from touring life in 2014. However, today the band has ultimately announced their comeback tour in the UK and Ireland.
For those unaware, this is the first tour of the Anglo-Irish band The Pogues since their 2014 split. It also marks their first since the death of their main vocalist and lyricist Shane MacGowan in 2023.

The seven concerts and shows will be happening across the entire May 2025, with dates planned for Leeds, Birmingham, London, Glasgow, Manchester, and Newcastle.

The band’s official Instagram handle has dropped the details of their UK and Ireland tour in May 2025. They shared that the band will be celebrating 40 years of their second smash-hit and iconic album Rum Sodomy & The Lash. Also sharing details about their special guests during their tour the caption states, “Well, you asked, and so The Pogues return in 2025 for our first UK Tour since 2012 to celebrate 40 years of ‘Rum Sodomy & the Lash’. Featuring James Fearnley, Jem Finer, Spider Stacy, and some thoughtfully chosen Special Guests.”
