The brilliant legal drama from NBC, ‘Suits’ was an immediate hit among fans, with the charming, brilliant and the scintillating duo of Harvey and Mike along with fan favourites Louis, Donna made the perfect mix of entertainment. The NBC Original is now getting a spinoff with a flashy new cast and crew but will follow the premise of astute lawyers and their legal expertise.
The OG fans were granted the show that was based on NYC with an equally thriving cast and crew, just like the city starring Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres and Meghan Markle lead the narrative and are helmed by Aaron Korsh. The showrunner is still not done with the legal drama as even after 9 successful seasons of ‘Suits’, the announcement of a spinoff just dropped.
Starring Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis and Brian Greenberg joining the crew for the ‘Suits’ spinoff set in LA with recurring actors Troy Winbush and Alice Lee. The spinoff is also helmed by the Original creator Aaron Krosh who also is one of the executive producers. The show is still backed by NBC and planned for airing in February 2025.

Although the legal drama in the last seasons fell off grid in comparison to the earlier seasons, fans were still connected till 2019, when ‘Suits’ last premiered. The new spinoff announcement got varied reactions from fans who were excited for the show to land in LA while many shared their missing for Harvey, Mike and Louis from the NYC show. Although Gabriel Macht is said to be guest starring along with John Amos, fans will deeply miss the effortless charmer Harvey Specter.
The production was changed from Vancouver to Los Angeles in August, 2024 and it is known that the pilot episode for ‘Suits LA’ will be directed by Victoria Mahoney known for directing several episodes of ‘Queen Sugar’ and ‘You’ also for directing a Star Wars film, ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ as the first woman in history to direct one from the franchise. It is safer to say that she is on her base while the rest of the news will be revealed soon.
