The herd is back with Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie are on board for the Ice Age 6 movie, just announced by Disney. One of the most popular animated movie franchises originally created by Blue Sky studios, follows a group of mammals that is loitering the earth after surviving the Pleistocence age and are met with several hurdles along the way.

The Ice Age 6 announcement dropped sweet and cold with Ray Romano shivering in Brazil, joined by Queen Latifah over the phone for the revelation. The fun video was posted by Disney that read, “Just announced at #D23Brasil: Ice Age 6 is now in production! Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary, and Simon Pegg are returning for an all-new big screen adventure.”

Ray Romano who voiced Manny till the last movie and the iconic Queen Latifah voicing Ellie will be reprising their roles along with John Leguizamo who voices the quintessential Sid. The original cast is back as the production is currently undergoing in Brazil, surprising the fans as most of them thought the franchise will defunct after the shutdown of Blue Sky Studios.
The franchise with five movies starting from the original ‘Ice Age’ in 2002, ‘Ice Age : The Meltdown’ in 2006, followed by 2009’s ‘Ice Age: The Dawn of the Dinosaurs’, ‘Ice Age: The Continental Drift’ in 2012 and the fifth one in 2016 titled ‘Ice Age: The Collision Coast’. Although Disney has not decided on a release date, the movie is expected to premiere in 2016.
