‘Freaky Friday’ stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are back after 22 years. The trailer of ‘Freakier Friday’ dropped just recently and the actors are reuniting as mother-daughter, reprising their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman.

The story of the highly anticipated sequel picks of years after Tess and Anna endured an identity crisis. In the current scenario, Anna has a daughter and a soon-to-be-stepdaughter. But the main event is yet to unfold.

In the trailer, a fortune teller (Vanessa Bayer) reads Tess and Anna Coleman’s palms and marvels at the fact that the duo’s lifelines have actually intersected in the past. But the mother and daughter prefer to understate the incident.

The fortune teller alerts them that a similar situation is likely to unfold again. She is not a conman as the ground shakes and Tess and Anna go through another body exchange. But this time, a couple of more people are also involved.

Freakier Friday release date and cast details

‘Freakier Friday’ stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in the lead roles. Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Rosalind Chao, Mark Harmon and Vanessa Bayer are also playing key characters in the upcoming sequel. The film hits theatres on August 8.

The trailer did not offer us any glimpse of Manny Jacinto – Lohan’s character’s husband or Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. But you can find Chad Michael Murray reprising his role as Jake and Elaine Hendrix, too.
