Siddiqui’s character in “Thamba” will be one of his most interesting roles. Even though he has proven his worth as a negative lead in movies like “Badlapur” (2015) and “Kick ” (2014), this is a bit of a different role altogether where he gets to play a character that is dark by the past and yet has a funny side to the personality of “Thamba”. It is reported that “Thamba” will be set in both, a North Indian city in the present and the ancient Vijayanagara Empire. Siddiqui’s character from the past brings vengeful intent to the future and after finding a way to change his fate attempts to alter the present and future of the two leading characters. This complex role offers Siddiqui the opportunity to bring his distinctive intensity and wit to the genre of horror-comedy.
