Even though he has proven his worth as a negative lead in movies like “Badlapur” (2015) and “Kick ” (2014), this is a bit of a different role altogether where he gets to play a character that is dark by the past and yet has a funny side to the personality of “Thamba”. It is reported that “Thamba” will be set in both, a North Indian city in the present and the ancient Vijayanagara Empire. Siddiqui’s character from the past brings vengeful intent to the future and after finding a way to change his fate attempts to alter the present and future of the two leading characters.
