Highlights
12 years into their marriage, Kavya (played by Vidya Balan) and Ani (Pratik Gandhi) have run out of affectionate terms for each other. Their daily conversations have become terribly stale. This Shirsha Guha Thakurta directorial is an interesting tale on a couple on the brink of breaking up.
‘Do aur Do Pyaar‘ released in theatres on the 19th of this month, luring appreciation for delivering romantic entanglements through a refreshing, non-judgemental frankness, destigmatising divorce and providing a fresh approach to the concept of matrimony.
The story depicts commitment as a work in progress. ‘Do aur Do Pyaar’ revolves around a married couple, both cheating on each other. Kavya is finding comfort in the arms of photographer Vikram and Ani is knee-deep in a committed relationship with aspiring actor Nora.
But is the Thakurta directorial the first Hindi movie on infidelity? Certainly not.
