Held in Jamnagar Gujarat, from March 1-3 and followed by a luxurious cruise from Italy to France from May 29 to June 1, these events were nothing less than a star studded carnival. With a guest list featuring 2000 names, including global celebrities, industry titans and sports stars, the social media was flooded with videos and photos from these events. Despite the star studded attendance, some notable figures were conspicuously absent.
Missing the Jamnagar Extravaganza
Priyanka Chopra Jonas
According to a statement given by Desi Girl Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Priyanka was invited but due to some reasons she did not make it to the Jamnagar event. She also hinted at Priyanka making up for her absence, leaving her fans curious about the reasons behind this decision.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli
This beloved couple missed the celebration due to the birth of their son Akaay in London. Their absence was totally understandable and justified given their circumstances, yet their fans missed their presence at the grand event.
Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan was not part of any pre-wedding festivities and that made his fans disappointed, who were anticipating his presence. Although the reasons behind Hrithik missing the functions is unclear, we indeed missed Hrithik grooving with Diljit Paaji in Jamnagar.
Karan Johar
Karan Johar, famed for his presence at major Bollywood events was notably absent in Jamnagar. Some media reports suggest his health kept him away from this event. However, recently he hosted the Sangeet Night, as seen in some social media clips.
The Deols
The Deol family were absent from these celebrations. Their recent frequent appearances at Bollywood gatherings made their absence for these events a bit surprising.
Rekha
The evergreen beauty Rekha was also nowhere seen in the Jamnagar saga. Known for her lively presence, her presence left many wondering if she wasn’t invited or chose to skip the event.
The Star Studded Jamnagar and Cruise Celebrations
Despite these missing stars, the sky of Ambani family’s function was all glittery with international icons. Rihana, Akon, Diljit Dosanjh, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal and Lucky Ali set the stage on fire in Jamnagar. While during cruise festivities international sensations like Katy Perry, Backstreet Boys, Shakira and Pitbull added their unique charm to the celebrations. These performances made the event a musical smorgasbord, delighting the guests with infinite unforgettable moments and memories.
In a heartwarming gesture, the Ambani’s also invited the members of Jamnagar Reliance for a celebration graced by none other than Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh showcasing their appreciation and inclusiveness.
An Event for the Ages
Finally the wedding celebration has started in Mumbai, and the celebrations started with organizing a ‘Samuhik Vivah’ (mass wedding) for over 50 underprivileged couples from the Palghar area between Gujarat and Mumbai on July 2nd followed by a Gujarati Mameru ceremony. And then there was the Sangeet Night of the century with Salman Khan gracing the stage with Anant Ambani, the Bollywood millennials performing on the stage as Ladke and Ladki wale, Ambani family felicitations the T-20 world cup winning team, performance by Justin Bieber and former Indian Skipper MS Dhoni grooving to Karan Aujla’s music further elevated the grandeur of the celebrations.
