Popular television actress Surbhi Jyoti and actor Sumit Suri have officially taken their relationship to the next level by getting married in a grand wedding ceremony on October 27th. The couple got married at the picturesque Aahana Resorts in Jim Corbett, surrounded by close family and friends. Being private about their relationship they surprised their fans earlier this year when they made their love affair official on Instagram.
The lovebirds, who posted their wedding photos on Instagram with the hashtag #ShubhVivah, 27 10 2024, tied the knot privately, inviting only closest friends and family members. Several faces from the telly world marked their presence at the party, along with celebrities, such as Rithvikk Dhanjani, Asha Negi, Kishwer Merchantt, Suyash Rai, Chirag Paswan, and Vishal Singh made the party all the more glamorous.
A Coloured Carnival with Haldi and Other Pre-Wedding Rituals
The celebrations started with a colorful haldi ceremony in which the couple looked elegant and happy. Surbhi wore a beautiful yellow anarkali suit and Sumit is seen wearing a pastel color kurta. Choosing the joyful nature of the event, they posted pictures from the ceremony on Instagram with the comment “Yellow Love Affair.”
In a heartfelt post from Friday, Surbhi expressed the deep meaning behind choosing their wedding location and the bond they share, She penned, “These roots run deep, carrying stories of sunshine and rain, resilience and grace. Sumit and I chose to begin our journey here, under nature’s sacred canopy, honoring the trees that stand tall and the five elements that keep us whole.”
A Romantic Affair Years on the Clock
The couple’s love story began when they first met in filming the music video for ‘Haanji – The Marriage Mantra” where they played bride and groom. They have been together for several years now but rarely posted about each other on the internet until they went official on IG in May this year. Surbhi and Sumit were initially to get married in March but the date had to be changed because of the commitments about the venue in Rajasthan.
