With Khel, which has been released through a new-age and dynamic music label Desi Trill, Subhi continues to make strides in the dynamic and competitive Punjabi music industry with the power of her smooth vocals and relatable and relevant lyrics. The music video for the song Khel is out now. Here’s the Spotify link to listen to it.
The song Khel is inspired by Subhi’s raw and unfiltered conversations with friends who have opened up about the frustration and anger of being unable to create solid bonds and genuine connections in today’s modern era where everything is transactional. The song describes a message of how self-respect is important in a person who should always be authentic to stand out from others and be true to themselves. The song resonates with the entire gamut of today’s women who are aware of the modern dating landscape and ready to reclaim their power.

Opening up on why she wrote the song during an interview with a leading regional portal, Subhi said, “I wrote Khel to reflect the experiences of those who feel disillusioned in their search for true love. In today’s fast-paced world, everyone seems eager to explore options rather than commit, and I wanted to emphasize that honesty and authenticity still matter.”
Also sharing how the inspiration for the song came in when she interacted with her friends who were tired of dating games, Subhi added, “While talking to my single friends, it became clear how exhausted they were from the dating game — whether through word of mouth or dating apps. This inspired me to write this song. People today don’t have much time to invest in just one person — they want to test the waters, but this game isn’t always fair.”
