There is no chance of breaking the spell as Stree 3 is already in the works, and with the looks of it, the stars and the crew are on board for it. The biggest blockbuster for the Hindi Film Industry in 2024 is the Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana starrer ‘Stree 2’.
The Amar Kaushik directorial has successfully resurrected the failing Comedy Horror genre in Hindi Cinema. This box office hit movie is already on track for its third edition with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao on board.
This news was confirmed by actress Shraddha Kapoor, who in a recent interview said, “When Amar sir told me he had a story for Stree 3, I got very excited because I know it’s going to be something amazing. I can’t wait to hear what it’s about”. The ‘Aashiqui 2’ star has also confirmed her and Co-star Rajkumar Rao’s presence in the planned cast.
Stree as a franchise was an important film for all of the cast members and Shraddha also shared her reaction of first getting her hands on the script of Stree in 2018. “When I heard the first part, I felt I hadn’t come across a script like that before. It was based on an urban legend and I literally fell off the sofa while listening to it” Shraddha said and added that she was very glad that she gets to play the mysterious role.
Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank which was a huge hit among the audience had also a fair share of controversies with the credit solely given to the leads Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao. The fact of the matter is that the said two celebrities have never really taken credit directly as it is their respective PR teams who were involved in the tussle.
The cast are “extremely close” to each other and even at times of negative opinions have been together, said the director of the Franchise, Amar Kaushik. Though surrounded by such commotion and fan wars, the cast and crew are focused on making another movie, ignoring the hassle.
The success of a movie be it small or big is always decided by the audience who can rejoice even an uncredited, unnamed actor or character if it attracts them and can also flip the coin the other way. This point was also highlighted by Shraddha Kapoor while discussing Stree 3 who as usual stays positive with her career.
