The battle at the box office during this year’s Diwali between two big movies is in cinemas all over the country. Ajay Devgn’s long-awaited “Singham Again” by Rohit Shetty had the opening by earning Rs. 43.5 crore on the first day in India. This significant start not only proves the popularity base of Shetty’s CopVerse but surely sets the platform for a rocking Diwali release.
“Singam Again” was on the big screen on Friday and received a houseful response with an occupancy of 65.35% as per the reports by Hindustan Times. Morning shows are low with 39.39% occupancy but when it comes to the growth of the day occupancy was also increased, afternoon shows 71.90%, and evening and night shows 75.91% & 74.19% respectively. The three days extra of Diwali and Bhai Dooj festival days will add to the advantage by increasing the chances of “Singham Again” having a strong ground to run successfully at the box office.
However, “Singham Again” is not the only film that gets all the limelight. Of course, Kartik Aaryan’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3″, which also arrived during Diwali, has its fair share of attention. This competition has given a charged feeling to audience experience throughout the country with fans keen to see their favorite stars perform well.
This latest installment in Rohit Shetty’s CopVerse is a direct continuation of both the “Singham” films and stars Ajay Devgn as Bajirao Singham. This time the film cruise is lined up with Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, and Jackie Shroff. Audiences will get a chance to watch powerful scenes of action, and drama, and a new plot line which is inspired by Ramayana on which basis the show has been created is another advantage of its own.
As “Singham Again” performs well on its opening day, it seems that more audiences are appreciating Shetty’s idea of the CopVerse. With Diwali celebrations and support and a full weekend lined up in its favor, the film can only seem more set to keep succeeding and entertaining lovers of Bollywood superstars.
