Stunning titles coming on Netflix: Gonna be a fun ride
The upcoming project by Aryan Khan surfaced at an event hosted by Bela Bajaria, Chief Content Officer of Netflix, on Monday. It brought people’s attention to some of the most ambitious international titles coming to the streamer in 2025.
Despite traditionally preferring local stories, the US has been lately seeing a surge in interest in non-English language programmes. In 2023, about 13% of hours seen in the US had been non-English titles, and Korean, Spanish and Japanese series dominated the list.
During the Netflix event on Monday, prominent Japanese and Korean titles announced included ‘Bullet Train Explosion’, ‘Last Samurai Standing’, and ‘Revelations’. It also featured returning series such as ‘Squid Game’ season 2 and ‘Alice in Borderland’ season 3.
