Shah Rukh Khan, one of India’s biggest movie stars, gets ready for a very special thing. He will be the host for an enormous award ceremony that has been titled IIFA short for International Indian Film Academy Awards. After all, this isn’t going to be an award ceremony; it’s going to be one of the largest festivity events across the globe for Indian movies. Shah Rukh won’t be solo in this. His close friend Karan Johar, the famous movie maker, would share the hosting with him. The duo would spell fun and excitement for all those who would watch the show.
Three Days of Magic
Now, this is not for one day only. IIFA Award is like a three days event, and it is so huge! It is sort of a big party for Indian movies. Here’s how each day is going to go down:
27 September: This will be called the IIFA Utsavam. It’s all about celebrating movies from South India. India is a large country, with several languages and speaking south itself holds different movie industries. They really pull off amazing films in languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
28 September (Day 2): This is the ‘main’ event, the IIFA Awards night. It is when they give out the big awards to actors, actresses, directors, and others who have done great work in movies that year. It’s like the Oscars, but for Indian films.
Day 3 (September 29): The final day belongs to music lovers. It’s called IIFA Rocks, which celebrates some of the great songs and music from Indian movies. There will be much singing and dancing!
Shah Rukh Khan Happy to Host
Shah Rukh Khan, said he is excited about hosting the show. The IIFA celebration is all about Indian cinema that people around the world love, he said. “I have been part of IIFA for many years, and it’s always amazing.”
SRK wants to make sure that everyone at the awards is going to have fun. He promised to bring much energy and excitement into the show. He said he can’t wait for September when everybody will come together to celebrate Indian movies.
What’s so special about IIFA for Karan Johar
Karan Johar, also shared why he’s so happy to be part of IIFA. He said, “IIFA has been important to me for more than 20 years.” That is a long period of time.
Karan related how his father, who also was in the film industry, used to help IIFA in its earlier times. His dad had been a part of a committee that advised on how IIFA could be best improved. Therefore, he has reasons to attach more specialness to the show, which reminds him of his father and their love for movies.
More Stars Will Join the Fun
The IIFA Awards aren’t just about giving out trophies. Some serious singing and dancing also takes place. One of the huge stars expected to perform is Shahid Kapoor. He is the superstar actor with amazing dance moves.
Shahid said he was really looking forward to performing there at IIFA, as Abu Dhabi is, in his words, purely an entertainment place. He said he would want to give fans something just too special. Shahid said he had been part of IIFA before and every time felt magical to be on the IIFA stage
