Ranbir Kapoor on Animal being a trilogy saga film and Animal Park 2 updates:
In a recent interview with Deadline at the coveted Red Sea International Film Festival, Ranbir Kapoor was asked by the media about updates on his forthcoming films in 2025 and 2026. Confirming the same, Ranbir Kapoor has finally revealed that Animal will be a trilogy saga film helmed by acclaimed South filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He revealed that Vanga wants to make Animal into a three-part trilogy film. He added that the entire team of Animal is currently working on an intriguing script for the second part titled Animal Park. Once that is done, the film is set to go on floors for filming and production schedule by 2027. Giving a huge clue of his character in the second part Animal Park, he disclosed that he will be essaying a double role of both the protagonist and the villain as well which is so fascinating for him as an actor.
Shedding more light on the same, Ranbir shared, “We should start that film in 2027. It’s a bit away. He (Sandeep Reddy Vanga, director) just kind of flirted with what he wants to do with the movie. He wants to make it over three parts. The second part is called Animal Park. We have been sharing ideas from the first film itself, and how we want to take this story forward. It is very exciting because now I get to play two characters – the antagonist and the protagonist. It is an extremely exciting project with an extremely original director. I am very excited to be a part of it.”

Moreover, Ranbir Kapoor also teased fans with an update on Brahmastra 2. While speaking with Deadline, he shared that Brahmastra Part 2 is in the scripting and storyline developmental stage and is called Dev and it is always a happy time and fun to work with his friend Ayan Mukherji on this one, with whom he has worked in the previous three films like Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra as well.
Explaining the same, Ranbir revealed that, “Part 2 is in the writing stage. Part one was called Shiva, part 2 is called Dev. We haven’t really announced the cast yet. That is something very exciting also. It’s directed by one of my closest friends Ayan. I worked on two films with him before this. That’s ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Brahmastra’. So definitely, it (Brahmastra) was one of the first few films of that nature, especially for Indian cinema. But it has the potential to really grow more in the coming parts.”

When asked about his exciting slate of films in Bollywood cinema, Ranbir also ended up giving a small update on Love And War to Deadline. He disclosed that Love And War is presently in the production stage and will be scheduled to wrap up filming and production for the same by October 2025. Opening up on the dream cast for Love And War, Ranbir also shared, “My co-stars are two of the finest actors in Indian cinema, that’s my wife #AliaBhatt and #Vicky Kaushal.”

Giving an exciting update on the highly-awaited action-heist-thriller-drama film Dhoom 4 which is a part of the Dhoom franchise by the Yash Raj Films at the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, Ranbir Kapoor has revealed that he is scheduled to start the filming schedule for eagerly-anticipated Dhoom 4 by early 2026. He will be playing the role of a menacing antagonist. Two daring supercops will join him in the film. The film is going to be helmed by the ace filmmaker Aditya Chopra and is a completely fresh reboot of the iconic film with Aditya and Vijay Krishna Acharya working on the full-proof and compelling script of the film.
