Amar Singh Chamkila

Better known as Chamkila, Amar Singh was an Indian Singer and Punjabi musician. He was known for his high ranging vocals, vivid language, and novel compositions. He was also known as Elvis of Punjab and was a live stage performer. He died at a very young age of 27 on 8th March 1988. His songs are influenced by Punjabi village folklore.

He is now an established singer and musician in the Punjabi Music Industry and a public favourite.
