Formula 1 is the most awaited and loved form of motorsports, others being Nascar, Formula E (electric powered F1 vehicles), the Le Mans that is known as the hardest endurance race and longest race according to time duration (24 hours), rally and drag races. The F1 over the years has created many sporting legends and icons out of the game.
The high octane thrill that it offers to its fans are best felt in the circuit where one gets to experience the heat and sweat sitting in the stands watching their favourite drivers go tearing up the asphalt while racing with the high speed race cars. The saying goes, Men love their women but love their cars more.
The sport also showcases the skills of these drivers who risk their lives to go to the limit and win it while some of them go through life threatening accidents while racing. The normal speed of a F1 car in the corners is 250 kmph plus.
From past greats such as McLaren’s Ayrton Senna, Ferrari’s Niki Lauda to Mclaren’s James Hunt the game has produced modern legends such as Mercedes’s Lewis Hamilton, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and not to mention the man with the golden palm the famous Micheal Schumacher of ferrari and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin.

Brad Pitt’s F1 Movie
Starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris in main roles, the movie is based on F1 racing and is set to release in 2025. The unnamed movie (till now) shows Brad as a former racing driver who sees potential in young Damson and ultimately trains him to be ready for the tracks. Also Pitt comes out of retirement and joins formula 1 racing after teaming up with Dawson. The movie is directed by Joseph Kosinski.

Rush (2013)
Based on the life of the F1 racing legends Niki Lauda and James Hunt, the movie shows the intense rivalry between the two and how they also had a bond of mutual respect for each other. It also shows the Nurburgring accident where Lauda crashed his car and resulted in almost death. It continues with his comeback into the grid and how he reclaimed his world championship 2 years later and finally his retirement during the Japanese Grand Prix where James Hunt secured the 1st pole position. The film stars Chris Hemsworth as James Hunt and Daniel Bruhl as Lauda himself and is directed by Ron Howard.
Ferrari (2023)
This movie shows the life of the creator of one of the most loved and successful F1 teams in the whole world, Enzo Ferrari. The Italian car manufacturer and racing legend who is behind building one of the best car manufacturers, Ferrari in 1939. The brand based in Maranello, Italy went on to create history by building the best racing cars at the time. The film shows how he went through a tough phase, almost bankruptcy but stood his ground and again went on to win the F1 and La Mans races. Enzo Ferrari was the sole person to build a test circuit at that time and is still used and owned by the company for testing new cars. The test track is none other than the Fiorano Test Circuit.
Senna (2024 – )
Based on the life of the Brazilian F1 legend driver Ayrton Senna who was a 3 times grand prix championship winning driver, having won the grand Prix 3 times in 1988, 1990 and 1991. The legend lost his life during the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola circuit on 1st May 1994. The web series can be watched on Netflix. It stars Gabriel Leone as the lead, Julia Foti as Andriane Galisteu and Kaya Scodelario as Laura. It also shows Matt Mella as Alain Prost and Johannes Heinrichs as Niki Lauda. The series is directed by Vicente Amorim and Julia Rezende.
