The series is set to cast Vijay Varma as the lead actor while the female lead is set to be Kritika Kamra. Directed by Nagraj Manjule, the action packed drama is based on the real life of Ratan Khatri, who introduced Matka in Mumbai, better known as Satta. Sudhir Kulkarni has written the script and production management has been handled by Diksha Dheri.
The series has been written by Abhay Koranne and the series director himself Nagraj Manjule and is produced by Ashish Aryan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Gargi Kulkarni, Nagraj Manjule and Ashwini Sidwani.
Series Plot, Release Platform;
A cotton trader comes to Mumbai in order to set up his factory and start a business. But after a series of events, instead of setting up a cotton manufacturing factory, he goes on to being the biggest gambling kingpin in the City of Dreams legalising betting and gambling for the common man that was till then reserved for the rich and elite.
The series is set to release on Amazon Prime Video although its trailer has not yet been released and the dates of release have not been discussed yet.
