One of the biggest female stars in South Indian cinema, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is set to be honored with the prestigious ‘Woman of the Year’ in Indian Cinema title at the NEXA IIFA Utsavam Awards on September 27th, 2024. As an actress who has worked in Tamil and Telugu cinema, Samantha’s contributions are not only confined to the screen but she has also been involved in philanthropic activities and therefore she is a path breaker in Indian cinema.
A Celebration of South Indian Cinema at IIFA Utsavam
The NEXA IIFA Utsavam Awards which forms a part of the overall IIFA Festival in Abu Dhabi will honor the talent of the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada film industries. The awards night will feature the stars of the South Indian cinema with Samantha’s award being one of them. A festival will be hosted at the Etihad Arena and will bring fans and celebrities for a night to remember.

Samantha’s journey in Indian cinema has been incredible, her performances in films such as Rangasthala and Oh! Baby has been well received. Off-screen she has also been very active in supporting social causes and this makes her a good role model. This decision of IIFA Utsavam to pay her a tribute is a testimony to her contribution to cinema and society.
