Storyline
The storyline goes that as a young man visits his village, he gets to know about a hidden secret and a vengeful spirit that wants to get married. Now the protagonist must protect his lady love from the spirit and thus a spooky adventure unfolds before the audience to watch.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007)
Directed by Priyadarshan, the film is a classic mix of romance, comedy and horror. The movie stars Shiney Ahuja as the lead character Siddharth, Vidya Balan as Avni (his wife), Akhshay Kumar as Dr Aditya Srivastava.
The plot starts as Siddhart along with his wife returns to his hometown in Rajasthan and insists on staying in the ancestral haveli (palace) that is infamous for being haunted by the evil spirit of Manjulika. The film progresses as Dr Aditya played by Akhshay Kumar solves the mystery of the haveli.
Krishna Cottage (2004)
Unforeseen situations force a group of friends to seek shelter in a mysterious cottage in the night. They don’t realise the cottage is haunted before mysterious things start taking place.
Directed by Santram Verma, the film stars Sohail Khan, Natassha, Isha Koppika in lead roles, the film is based on the fictional book Kayi Ankahi Baatein by Prof Siddharth Das.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022)
Ruhaan (Kartick Aaryan) and Reet (Kiara Advani) meet accidentally when Reet is on a trip to Bhawanigarh for her marriage. Their curiosities lead them to the latters family haveli that remains haunted and is feared by people in the town.
Tumbadd (2018)
The movie is set in the 1920s in a village called Tumbadd, in Maharashtra. The plot revolves around a family that is facing issues after building a temple for a mythological deity Hatsar. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, and Anant Gandhi, the film has Sohum Shah, and Jyoti Malshe in lead roles.
Stree (2018)
Stree is one of the best horror movies of recent times. The story is set in a little village called Chanderi which is haunted by a witch known as Stree. The funny fact is the witch abducts men who venture out at night and leaves their clothes behind.
The movie is directed by Amar Kaushik and has Shraddha Kapoor in lead role along with Rajkumar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi in supporting roles.
Ek Thi Daayan (2013)
A good horror movie keeps you hooked till the last climax scene. So does this movie. Starring Emraan Hashmi as lead, the movie delves into the actor’s character life as he represents a magician who has past traumas. He believes that Diana, who he thinks is a witch will return to kill him.
Paheli (2005)
The Shah Rukh Khan starrer features Amitabh Bacchan, Rani Mukherjee, Juhi Chawla and Anupam Kher in lead and supporting roles. Directed by Amol Palekar, the film is a romantic Comedy along with a touch of Horror. It’s a must watch family movie.
Kaal (2005)
The film directed by Soham Shah, stars John Abraham, Esha Deol, Vivek Oberoi, Ajay Devgan and King Khan in lead and supporting characters. Those who want to enjoy a spooky ghost movie at night can go for this without a doubt. You will not be able to forget it for months.
13 B: Fear has new address (2009)
Starring R Maadhavan, and Neetu Chandra, this movie depicts a man who is excited about his new apartment that he has bought and shifted in. Soon he finds out that paranormal activities are going on and his TV starts to telecast the future of what is going to happen in the family.
1920 (2008)
Set in the 1920s, the movie revolves around Arjun Singh Rathore (Rajneesh Duggal) and Lisa Singh Rathore (Adah Sharma). The plot goes as when the couple shifts to their new house, Lisa gets possessed by a spirit that haunts the house.
