The Indian movies released in 2024 not only achieved never-seen-before box office numbers but also spanned across different genres such as drama, comedy, futuristic cinema, action, and whatnot! Here is the complete list of the top 10 highest-earning Indian movies of 2024.
1) Pushpa 2: The Rule
Cast: Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj
Pushpa 2: The Rule has earned more than Rs. 1,500 crore in the global box office. And guys, the film has been released on 5 December 2024. So, it is still playing quite well in the theatres and the numbers are expected to grow further if no other film is able to crack the success formula as Pushpa 2 did. You will also be astonished to note that Pushpa 2 has been made at a budget of Rs. 400 crores. So, just imagine the profits that the makers have made. As the name suggests, Pushpa 2 is the sequel to Pushpa: The Rise. The film follows the story of Pushpa who has to battle it out with the police team in order to remain in the sandalwood business.
2) Kalki 2898 AD
Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani
Kalki 2898 AD is reported to have earned over Rs. 1,042 crore worldwide as per Sacniik.com. Its Indian gross collection is Rs. 767 crore as of today. The story of Kalki 2989 AD is a mix of Indian mythology and the future world. A mother is expecting a child who is believed to be Kalki, a young superhuman who will bring about a huge change in the world.
3) Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank
Cast: Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana
No one really expected a horror movie to actually rank in this list but yeah, this is 2024 and that’s why Stree 2 is ranking third in the list of highest-grossing Indian films with a box office collection of Rs. 857.15 crore. And guess what, Indians have loved this film so much that the gross collection of Rs. 713.15 crores out of Rs. 857.15 crores has come from India alone. Amazing, isn’t it? Stree 2 is the sequel to Stree and the story of Stree 2 revolves around Sarkata who is the new terror of the village Chanderi. How Vicky and his friends save the villagers from Sarkata forms the crux of the story.
4) Devara Part 1
Cast: NT Rama Rao Jr, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, Srikanth and Shine Tom Chacko
Although Devara Part 1 released with mixed reviews, its collections have been quite amazing. Devara Part 1 made a box office collection of Rs. 422.1 crore gross worldwide. The Telugu song Chuttamalle received quite widespread attention and people on social media kept creating reels on the same. The story revolves around a village chief’s son who has to put up a fight against smuggling with the pretense of being weak.
5) Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
Cast: Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri
And it looks like Indians’ fondness for horror movies have been for a long time. Because Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the second movie in this top 10 list of highest-grossing movies from the horror genre. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the third installment in the series and it has made Rs. 389.27 crores all over the world. Once again, this horror film has shown that Indian box office collection alone can rule it in people’s hearts as the film minted Rs. 311.27 crores in India alone. Interestingly, the film has also become the biggest opener in Kartik Aaryan’s Bollywood career. With regards to the story, you will be surprised to know who the real Manjulika is when you watch the film!
6) The Greatest of All Time (GOAT)
Cast: Vijay, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Ajmal Ameer, Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Yogi Babu

7) Singham Again
Cast: Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor Khan
Definitely, this multi-starrer Singham Again deserved an entry in this list considering it earned Rs. 372.41 crores gross, as per Sacniik.com reports. The film received appreciation for including some elements based on Ramayana.
8) Amaran
Cast: Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi
Yeah, another South Indian movie earned appreciation pan-India and got an entry in this list of top 10. The film Amaran is based on the true story of Major Mukund Varadarajan who served as an Indian Army Officer and was honored with the Ashok Chakra for his bravery during a mission. Amaran earned Rs. 333.5 crores worldwide.
9) Fighter
Cast: Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone
Fighter made at a budget of Rs. 250 crore, earned Rs. 358.89 crores at its global box office. The film earned appreciation for its performances by the cast and showcasing the lives of military soldiers and officers.
10) Hanu-Man
Cast: Teja Sajja, Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani, Vinay Rai, Vennela Kishore and Raj Deepak Shetty
Hanu-Man earned Rs. 238.29 crore in India and made a gross collection of Rs. 295.29 crore all over the world. However, you will be astonished to note that the film was made on a mere budget of Rs. 40 crores. The film talks about a fictional tale when Hanumanthu fights it out to save the people of Anjanadri from Michael who wants to attain the power to become a superhero.
