After long anticipation by movie lovers and Indian cinema fanatics, ace Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s highly-awaited Hindi political-biopic war-drama movie Emergency’s stimulating and gripping performance-oriented Trailer for Emergency is out now. It gives cinema viewers an in-depth glimpse at the dirty manipulations and the devastating consequences of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s decisions. The film is slated and scheduled to release in theatres by January 17, 2025.
About the Emergency Trailer REVIEW:
The immersive trailer glimpse opens with veteran actor Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan. He is inside the jail and is writing a powerful letter to the Prime Minister from his prison cell. The compelling narrative seamlessly emphasizes Kangana as a trailblazing former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In the film, she is a strong and indomitable force. She unapologetically declares an Emergency in India.
One of the most goosebumps-invoking moments in the Emergency trailer clip is the godly reference made by the character of Indira Gandhi to the Hindu mythological epic Mahabharata. In that specific scene, she fearlessly declares, “This is Indraprastha, and we have declared war against the Kauravas.”
The trailer video for Emergency ends on a roaring note with her most hard-hitting line, “India is Indira, and Indira is India.” These impactful dialogues, blended with the uncanny resemblance of the national award-winning actor Kangana Ranaut to Gandhi, have left audiences tongue-tied and speechless.
The country then descends into a devastating pit of violence, massacre, death, and disarray as former PM Indira Gandhi decides to launch an Emergency. As the video ends, her powerful voice says, “Indira is India.” Kangana has portrayed the multilayered character of the former PM, who is battling against everyone to impose her decision with finesse and perfection.
