The “Queen” of Bollywood Kangana Ranaut, successfully debuted in politics with Bhartiya Janta Party. She defeated Congress Candidate Vikramaditya Singh with a substantial margin of 74,755 votes from her hometown Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.
Arun Govil:
The Ram of Indian television and Bollywood actor Arun Govil contested from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut on Bhartiya Janta Party’s ticket. Despite trailing in initial counts, Govil emerged triumphant winning the seat by the margin of 10, 585 votes defeating Sunita Verma, the Samajwadi Party candidate.
Shatrughan Sinha:
Veteran Bollywood actor and experienced politician Shatrughan Sinha contested from Asansol on Trinamool Congress (TMC) ticket. He defeated Bhartiya Janta Party candidate SS Ahluwalia with a margin of 59,564 votes.
Manoj Tiwari:
Bhojpuri superstar Manoj Tiwari from North East Delhi on Bhartiya Janta Party’s ticket and secured his third consecutive win in the constituency by defeating Congress Party’s much hyped candidate Kanhaiya Kumar by 1,37, 066 votes.
Ravi Kishan:
Brilliant and super energetic actor turned politician Ravi Kishan secured his second win as MP from UP’s Gorakhpur constituency. Ravi defeated Samajwadi Party’s candidate Kajal Nishad by a margin of 1,03,526 votes.
Suresh Gopi:
Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi created history by winning the first seat for BJP in Thrissur Kerala. He defeated CPI-M’s candidate Sunil Kumar by a margin of 14,686 votes.
Dev Adhikary:
Bengali Superstar Dev Adhikary contested from Ghatal on Trinamool Congress (TMC) ticket and defeated Bhartiya Janta Party’s candidate Hiranmoy Chattopadhyay by a margin of 1,828,68 votes.
Rachana Banarjee:
Popular Bengali TV host and actress Rachana Banarjee emerged victorious in her maiden innings in politics from Hoogly constituency on Trinamool Congress (TMC) ticket. Rachana defeated Locket Chaterjee, Bhartiya Janta Party candidate by a margin of 60,000 votes.
June Maliah:
Veteran Bengali actress and MLA from Trinamool Congress, June Malia contested from Medinipur on Trinamool Congress (TMC) ticket. She defeated Bhartiya Janta party’s Agnimitra Paul by a margin of 2,70,247 votes.
Satabdi Roy:
Well known Bengali actress Satabdi Roy made her way to Parliament for the fourth time after winning Birbhum constituency on Trinamool Congress (TMC) ticket. Satabdi defeated Debtanu Bhattacharya, candidate of Bhartiya Janta party by a margin of 2,00,000 votes.
Pawan Kalyan:
Tollywood Superstar Pawan Kalyan founder of Jana Sena Party, Andhra Pradesh has scored his maiden election win. Pawan defeated YSRCP’s Vanga Geetha Viswanatham from the Pithapuram Assembly seat. He won by a margin of 70,000 votes.
