Ace singer, musical genius, and Oscar-winning maestro A.R. Rahman and his now estranged wife Saira recently announced decision to divorce each other and go their separate ways as a couple on Tuesday night through a joint statement that sent shock waves across the industry. Now following in the same footsteps in this ongoing separation trend, A.R. Rahman’s bassist Mohini Dey, who has been performing with him for many years now, has broken the silence and confirmed her separation from her husband Mark Hartsuch through an official joint statement posted on her Instagram handle.
Mohini and Mark’s official joint post confirming their separation on Instagram:
Mohini and Mark’s long caption post confirms the news of their separation and how it is painful and emotionally wrenching news for them. Their caption reads, “Dear friends, family, fans, and followers, With a heavy heart, Mark and I announce that we have separated.”
Sharing how this decision was difficult but needed for them and that there is a mutual understanding between the now ex-couple who now want different things in their lives from this point onwards, their joint statement’s caption furthermore states, “First, as a commitment to our friends and family, this is a mutual understanding between us. While we remain great friends, we both have decided that we want different things in life, and separation through mutual agreement was the best way to proceed.”
Explaining that they will still be collaborating on several different projects with each other as two individuals who will always share a strong bond of friendship that will not stop anytime sooner, their caption concludes with the words, “We will still be working on several projects together including MaMoGi and Mohini Dey groups. We have always prided ourselves on working well together, and that will not be stopping any time soon :). The big thing we want to wish is love to everyone out there in the world. We appreciate your support in all of the ways you have given it to us. Please honor the decision we have made by being positive towards us at this time and respecting our privacy. We would appreciate no judgements.”
