Ayesha Takia, a popular actress in Bollywood a few years back, has lately become the subject of controversy because of her looks. Ayesha Takia made a debut in 2004 with movies like “Tarzan The Wonder Car” and “Dil Maange More” and then acted in films like “Paathshaala”, “Dor”, “Wanted” and “Mod”. She married Farhan Azmi and then decided to become less active in Bollywood.

More recently, Takia was back in the limelight after a photo of her went viral on social media. The picture raised many eyebrows and expectations about possible plastic surgery; many people were surprised by the alleged change in her looks. People’s comments went from disbelief to criticisms such as: “No way this is Ayesha Takia” and “I know she had done plastic surgery & had also seen her after surgery. But this post of her just randomly popped up on my Instagram discover feed & I couldn’t even recognize her.”

Takia in particular had to face a lot of negativity about her looks and she chose to be gracious and even funny about it. She said in an interview with SpotBoyE, “I was in Goa with my family when this came out and I just burst out laughing. I dealt with it by laughing about it and when it blew up I posted a little bit on my Instagram about how people should be confident of who they are and not care about what other people think.

Takia’s approach to the conflict is assertiveness and confidence. She said that she does not get defensive when there is no reason for one to be defensive, and that she let go of the issue very quickly.

The actress had previously addressed similar rumors about plastic surgery with a powerful message: ‘You could be the plumpest, prettiest woman and there will always be someone who doesn’t like big women. Don’t let anyone tell you to tone it down. We live in a world full of critics and bullies so we have to stand up for ourselves and be proud of who we are.
