Actor Alia Bhatt announced the title of her Yash Raj Films spy universe with a teaser today. The film titled Alpha stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh, and is directed by Shiv Rawail, known for his Netflix series The Railway Men.
There was a surprise promo of the film that was unveiled today, revealing the title of the film along with Alia’s voiceover. In the promo she was heard saying, “The first letter of the Greek alphabet and the motto of our program… the first, the fastest and the strongest. Every city is like a jungle. The one who will rule it is Alpha.” The promo ended with the title of the film with the greek alphabet in the background.
She shared the promo with the caption, “It’s time for the Alpha… Girls”.
She was recently seen in an American spy thriller Heart of Stone where she played the antagonist role of a hacker by the name Keya Dhawan. With Alpha she is making a return to the genre but this time as a protagonist. On the other hand, the project is a significant milestone for Sharvari Wagh who starred in films like Munjya and Maharaj. The other details of the film are yet to be disclosed.
The actors working in the film are closely associated with War and Tiger franchises. The spy universe started with Ek Tha Tiger in 2012 followed by Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017 and Tiger 3 in 2023.
