With a penchant for nuanced performances in Bollywood films like the Fukrey franchise, Happy Bhag Jayegi, Always Kabhi Kabhi, and many more, Ali Fazal has transcended the Bollywood scape and is also setting new benchmarks in his burgeoning filmography internationally as well.
As per recent news updates, the Victoria and Abdul actor has geared up to surprise audiences and fans with his exceptional performance in the upcoming international film. Titled Rule Breakers and backed by Angel Studios, the film, is being helmed by maverick Oscar-winning filmmaker Bill Guttentag. The film revolves around resilience and defiance in Afghanistan and will drop in theatres by March 2025.
Loved by international audiences and fans for his remarkable performances as an actor in Hollywood films like Death on The Nile, Kandahar, Victoria and Abdul, and Fast and Furious 7, it is needless to mention that his upcoming venture with Waller-Bridge has garnered a lot of excitement and buzz both domestically and internationally as well.
Opening up about his experience while working in the film, Fazal said, “I am thrilled to be a part of Rule Breakers and to share the screen with such a talented actress as Phoebe Waller-Bridge.”

I look forward to bringing this narrative to life and reaching audiences globally.”
The Kandahar star breaks silence on working with Waller-Bridge. Spilling some beans about the same, he stated, “I am so thrilled to be able to support a film that we think every parent should take their daughter to watch in the theatres. And the story being so inspiring, it was no surprise that Phoebe Waller also stepped in. Of course, she is a powerhouse of talent, so her addition I am sure has lifted the film to greater heights. We play key roles at different stages in Roya Mehboob’s life and journey along with the Afghani robotics team for girls.”
