Akshay Kumar’s much anticipated film Sky Force is set to hit cinemas on January 24, 2025. The action thriller that also co stars Sara Ali Khan, Veer Paharia, and Nimrat Kaur will be released during the Republic Day week in 2025. The Republic day time period has historically been lucky for Akshay Kumar.
His past republic day releases have always been successful at the box office, consisting of films like Elaan (1994), Khakee (2004), Baby in 2015 and Airlift in 2016. All the films were blockbusters.
Sky Force is directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapoor, produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films and Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios.
No more film releases for Akhshay Kumar this 2024
Initially there were reports that the teaser of Sky Force would go alongside the 15th August, Independence Day release of Stree 2 but given that both the films are produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, the release of the former had to be delayed.
This means after releasing 3 odd films featuring Akhshay in Bade Miyan Chote Miya, Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein, there would be no more releases featuring the Bell Bottom star actor.
Film to Arrive in January coming 2025
The delay of Sky Force to January 2025 comes after the teaser failed to make it to the theatres with Stree 2 leading to speculation that the film wouldn’t show up across theatres this Oct.
Thus speculation regarding the release dates have been going on at a high rate for a long time. But recently, according to sources, the movie is set to release on January 26, 2025 on the Indian Republic day.
