1. Fighter:
Fighter starred Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, and Anil Kapoor, in lead roles. The aviation-war drama film is helmed by ace filmmaker Siddharth Anand and was an unexpected success and minted Rs 215 crores domestically at the Indian box office in India. Audiences and fans loved the nuanced performances and captivating storyline as well.

2. Hanu-Man:
Originally a Telugu language superhero-drama flick, Hanu-Man’s success at the box office this year only restated the fact – that unusual and well-made stories with ace performances work in all versions. The film’s Hindi version alone did a business of 132.5 crores.

3. Stree 2:
Stree 2 is another hit Hindi horror-comedy film of 2024 that wowed audiences and fans with a gripping plot and ace acting performances by Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and the other cast. The film became a massive hit in Indian cinema with a business of 627.50 crores domestically in India.

4. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3:
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is another hit Indian horror-comedy-drama flick. A sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and a part of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, the film has garnered Rs 279.20 crores in India at the domestic box office. Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Madhuri Dixit, and Vidya Balan’s brilliant performances in the film with foot-tapping songs and high-octane action and drama earn brownie points for the film.

5. Singham Again:
Starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, and others in key roles, the film helmed by Rohit Shetty is a part of the iconic Singham cop universe and has garnered approximately Rs 273.75 crores at the Indian box office. The film has earned significantly more than 200 crores at the box office and audiences loved the performances and storyline as well.

6. Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi):
The period-fantasy-action-drama flick starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and others in key roles, did unprecedented business at the box office overall. But, interestingly, even its Hindi version minted an impressive Rs 295 crores. The film was lauded by fans and critics for its intriguing storyline and multilayered performances by the cast.

7. Shaitaan:
Directed by ace filmmaker Vikas Bahl, Shaitaan is a Hindi-language horror-thriller-supernatural-drama movie. The film boasts a hand-picked ensemble cast with Ajay Devgn, Jyothika, and R Madhavan and revolves around a family’s serene life turning into an ominous nightmare after noticing that their daughter’s behavior pattern has flipped completely. Is it only an unexpected occurrence or is there an evil entity involved in the same is the question that keeps viewers hooked and how the family unites to save their daughter later on is a chilling experience for audiences. The film was a box office hit and earned 151 crores at the domestic box office.

Starring an ensemble cast of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon in leading roles, Crew is an engaging and entertaining family-themed comedy-drama film helmed by Rajesh Krishnan. The nuanced performances of the cast with a fascinating plot, remarkable direction, hit foot-tapping numbers and iconic comedy dialogues make this film a hit film. The movie earned Rs 107.05 crores in the Indian box office domestically.

9. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya:
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in leading roles, the film is an out-of-the-box and engrossing Indian robot and human love story with dysfunctional family dynamics and exceptional performances that got lauded by audiences and fans in India. The film minted Rs 87 crores at the Indian box office and was a sleeper blockbuster hit film.

10. Devara: Part I (Hindi):
Starring global pan-Indian star NTR Jr and Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor in leading roles, the period-fantasy-drama flick is helmed by ace South filmmaker Koratala Siva. The plot follows Devara, a chieftain of the coastal village who fights tooth and nail with his partner Bhaira over the arms smuggling going out of control from the Red Sea. The film’s Hindi version raked in a solid Rs 200 crores at the domestic box office in India.

11. Article 370:
Starring Yami Gautam in the lead role, the film is a Hindi political-thriller-drama flick helmed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale. The plot revolves around the drastic aftermath of Article 370’s revocation in Jammu and Kashmir. The film did an impressive business of Rs 84 crores in Indian domestic box office collections and became a surprise hit film of the year.
