Writer of the show Aline Brosh Mckenna, is in talks with the production for writing the script for the sequel. According to the reports the plot revolves around Miranda Priestly, still holding the reins of the leading fashion magazine, Runway, but now struggling with the regression of traditional print media. Her former assistant, Emily Charlton, portrayed by Emily Blunt, is now promoted as senior executive at a luxury group. The sequel’s drama unveils as Miranda seeks advertising revenue and must coax her complex relationship with Emily, who endured a real difficult time under her leadership.

While it’s confirmed that Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt will reprise their roles, there is no official confirmation on whether Anne Hathaway will be seen again as Andrea Sachs.
