The Live Action Remake of Disney’s 2002 of the Animated ‘Lilo & Stitch’ is all set for a grand and awaited release in 2025, apparently the year for Disney to plan their most prestigious and loved stories into a Live Action. ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Live Action has Maia Kealoha playing one of the titular characters – Lilo, a Six Year Old girl who is contagiously optimistic and rebellious while Chris Sanders, the creator and the original voice of ‘Stitch’ stepping in for the Live Action as well leading the Sci – Fi Comedy.
The trailer dropped reveals an alien Koala like Dog that escapes a Mad Alien Scientist’s spaceship and lands on earth, in the picturesque and quaint beachside town in Hawaii. The alien dog-like creature befriends a lonely, young girl, Lilo, who convinces her guardian teen sister to adopt it as a pet. While the alien scientist tracks down the escaped pet who bent on destroying everything in its path. The hilarious and cute rapport between Lilo & Stitch and how their freakish journey together includes and magically creates a family bond that is soul stirring and tremendously entertaining.
Created originally in 1985 for a children’s book, Chris Sanders later was approached by the monumental Walt Disney Studios for an animated comedy animated film that was released in 2002. The 2025 version is a dreamy remake directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and written by the original creators Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes, the comedy drama has an impressive set of cast and crew along with a classic Disney vibe to it.
