The youngest munchkin of the Kapoor clan, Raha Kapoor turns 2 today, once again trending on social media. Bollywood’s fairytale family has always been the centre of attraction in the media with even the newest member of the family garnering attention and fame in the public eye.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s dreamy wedding took over the internet while their fame is now leveraged by their daughter Raha Kapoor, who was born on November 6, 2022. Initially the parents decided to keep Raha away from the spotlight but in December 2023, Ranbir, Alia and Raha stepped out for the paparazzi to click a Christmas family picture, breaking the internet with the overloaded cuteness of baby Raha.
The name Raha was picked out by her grandmother Neetu Kapoor and the meaning revealed by Alia as the ‘Purest form’ and ‘Divine Path’, ‘clan’ in Sanskrit and ‘Joy’ in Swahili.
One of the first things fans noticed was Raha’s eyes, a shade of ice blue passed onto her from her other late grandfather Randhir Kapoor and from her aunt Karishma Kapoor. The netizens immediately compared Raha’s quirky facial expressions to Rishi Kapoor and gave Raha a nickname as ‘Coconut Trees’, mentioning her pigtails.
Very soon Raha became the internet’s favourite starkid, just like her cousin’s Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan who also easily stole the hearts of everyone. The family’s vacation pictures were headlining along with the family and friends sharing memories in their socials.
Today Raha is gushed and celebrated by all her family members who all took to their socials to wish the little Kapoor. Raha’s maternal grandma Soni Razdan shared a picture of Raha and Alia with the caption, “No feeling in the world beats being your grandma” while grandma Neetu gushed over her grandchild with the post of Raha with her parents, “Our pyaar s birthday god bless” with flying hearts.
