Games are an engaging activity that pulls the best out of any human and it even surprises the players who haven’t even played before. More than the muscular strength it is the one’s mental resilience which showcases who they are. “Squid Game” is one among them which was popular in South Korea during the 70s to 80s. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk took inspiration from that and he drafted a terrific and mind blowing web series which is also in the same name title.
Squid Game – 1
Squid Game 1 is a survival, action thriller and a dystopian web series which is streaming on Netflix from 2021. It consists of nine episodes. The story begins with the introduction of characters and their lifestyles which sets the audiences in a mindset why these people choose an unexpected opportunity offered to them by a salesman from an anonymous group of people. Among the 456 players the protagonist Lee Jung-jae who played the role as Seong Gi-hun, a drunkard & a divorcee who is longing to reunite with his daughter with a strong financial background, wins the 45.6 billion won by overcoming all the ten deadly stages.
The series ends with a lead to the next series with the Wi Ha-joon who is a cop unfolding the unanticipated truth and slipping from the hands of that anonymous group. On the other hand, the transition of mind in Lee Jung to play again in this deadly game to stop the anonymous group and to save the innocent people from the outwit left the fans to count on days for their next announcement.
Squid Game – 2
The teaser of the second season has been unveiled by the team in which they predominantly focus on Lee Jung-jae’s hitch being an old player. The most popular game of the series “Nowhere to hide” featured in the teaser and the brutal chaos, jealousy, competition and madness among the players multiplies in the next frames and it gives a relief sigh to all the fans of Squid Game series that the second season is no lesser than the first one. Lee’s complete transformation into a staid personality can be witnessed transparently which adds an additional flavour to this season.
Before the arrival of the teaser they ignited the adrenaline rushes with a glimpse starring “Gong Yoo” who is the key character of this series.
