The best thing that has gone about the film has been the integration of action and Siddhant, who delivered a very power-packed performance. That has certainly helped the movie make a pretty good opening at the box office. It had some excellent co-actors too-including Malavika Mohanan and Raghav Juyal. An action heroine in Malavika and a menacing villain in Raghav, ‘Shafiq’ is a character that takes time to warm up and has impressive face-offs with Siddhant.

Cast And Director

  • Malavika Mohanan as Nikhat
  • Raghav Juyal as Shafiq (antagonist)
  • Director: Ravi Udyawar

Critical Reception: Action Over Drama

While critics have appreciated the action choreography in Yudhra, emotional depth was slightly lacking in the eyes of some.  Siddhant Chaturvedi’s action scenes had come across as one of the entities that worked in favor of the movie. He proved to be natural when it came to fight sequences, which meant his character Yudhra did not seem off the mark within intense hand-to-hand fight scenes. However, his emotional performance was noted as needing more refinement with the possibility of well-represented depth for the feelings of his character.

Malavika Mohanan, who plays Nikhat, was above average. Though her chemistry with Siddhant was an underwhelming affair on screen, her action sequences were good and showed a versatile set of skills for an actress. Raghav Juyal played the antagonist in the form of Shafiq and gathered all praise for his performance, as was the case particularly in an elaborative sequence where he confronts Yudhra. His character takes some time to build up, but Raghav finally makes sure the impact is long-lasting while portraying a potent villain.

Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Career and Ambitions

Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, who shot to fame with his first Gully Boy role recently spoke to PTI about his journey so far. Talking about his way of challenging himself with every new project – the career as a whole – he revealed that the approach has always been to expand his boundary in performing rather than taking up easier ones. Siddhant used to work as a chartered accountant before he became an actor. He felt that he had to give up his job and perform because it was a part of him and was vital to his progress.

Siddhant’s commitment to playing the toughest roles is what he did in Yudhra. The actor’s choices to act and do stunts on screen won the hearts of not just the masses, but even the critics, which made him one of the most promising faces that Bollywood has to offer. His life has seen from being a chartered accountant to become one of the leading actors, showing that he was always eager for this ambition and devoted to his craft, and the effort of Yudhra reflects that urge.
